The abbey and its gardens

Back to the introduction to the gardens
The garden known as the “scent garden” stretches over 400 m² along the abbey church.
t features a very large number of sweet-smelling plants: varieties of rose, sarcococca, tulip, narcissus, choisiya, etc. A basin with a water jet makes a visit to it even more enjoyable.
This is an opportunity to appreciate the external architecture of the chevet and the northern side of the abbey church, the cornice brackets with their enigmatic monsters, and to explore the massive lantern tower erected at the transept crossing.
